For us travel is about more than taking a holiday. With over 300 clubs and thousands of members worldwide, Friendship Force International connects people with its aim to promote global understanding across the barriers that separate people.

Through home-hosting and rich and meaningful travel experiences, members learn about other cultures, develop better understanding of our world, and discover our shared and humanity.

WHO WE ARE

Friendship Force began in the USA in 1977
There are 370 clubs worldwide in more than 50 countries
There are many travel opportunities either with the
Isle of Wight club or join in travel with world clubs

We home host clubs from around the world twice a year.
You can join Friendship Force Isle of Wight at anytime of the year.
Our annual fee is renewed at the AGM in November.

ISLE OF WIGHT

The Isle of Wight is 3 miles by boat from the south coast of England. With a resident population of 140,000 people it covers an area of 25miles by 13 miles at its longest and widest.

Being a holiday destination the population increases dramatically during the summer months as people visit to take advantage after our milder climate, wonderful beaches, beautiful and varied coast line, magnificent walks over gentle rolling downs, sailing and a rich history of Royal connections spanning hundreds of years.

Connecting ferry services to the Island.
Flying into Heathrow you are best travelling to Southampton or if arriving into Gatwick to Portsmouth.
Of course we will arrange to meet you from the Island port that suites you best.
